Occupational Safety and Ergonomics Option

  • Courses: INSY 6010 – Occupational Safety Engineering, INSY 7060 – Fundamentals of Ergonomics
  • Career Focus: Safety engineer, ergonomics specialist

Systems Option

  • Courses: INSY 6100 – Systems Engineering, INSY 7710 – System Lifecycle Requirements
  • Career Focus: Systems engineer, operations manager

Product Innovation Option

  • Courses: INSY 7730 – Product Design, Development and Test, INSY 7740 – Product Launch, Manufacturing and Delivery
  • Career Focus: Product manager, innovation strategist

Each pathway also requires three electives with INSY or INSY-related prefixes, course numbers 6000 or above. Course requirements based on 2024–2025 academic year.

Admissions Process

  • Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM field, or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • GRE: Waived with minimum 2.75 GPA from ABET-accredited program
  • Required Materials: Online application and transcripts; optional: resume and GRE scores
  • Deadlines: 90 days for international, 30 days for domestic students
  • Graduation Requirement: 3.0 GPA (cumulative)

Online Experience

Courses are based on recorded on-campus sessions. Terms are 10–15 weeks with starts in August, January, and May.
